Tiny Mesh is a SME company that develops and delivers complete IoT platforms including firmware-stacks that can run on RF modules in all the licensed radio bands. To this end, Tiny Mesh is an “out-of-the-box” solution that makes it easy and uncomplicated for all kinds of companies to create new products, services and business model by connecting, integrating and controlling all kinds of meters, street lights, sensors, actuators, assets, devices, tags and other things as part of the Internet-of-Everything. The company delivers its services and products to markets in India and South-East Asia (Smart Grid, Smart Meters, Street Light Control and other IoT based application). In addition to this, it supplies the European market, which is characterised by high demands of functionality and to low implementation cost at very low volumes.
Tiny Mesh participates in several research projects in the crossing between smart buildings, energy neighbourhoods and smart grids with National Centre of Expertise (NCE) Smart Energy Markets, a major player in the Norwegian Smart Grid Centre. Tiny Mesh has developed sensor technology for high-resolution data capture of indoor climate conditions, building usage patterns and energy states.
The main focus of the company is the development of a methodology for the online estimation of thermal and electric power energy flexibility making buildings intelligent. Currently, over 600.000 devices on three continents are already monitored and controlled in a secure manner implementing the uncomplicated wireless solution offered by Tiny Mesh. Finally, the company has established communication channels with “Statsbygg”, which is the Norwegian government’s key advisor in construction and property affairs, building commissioner, property manager and property developer, and is now testing the first version of such instrumentation in university campus of Halden.
